We are delighted to report that ENGLAND won the Skinner’s World Cup Retriever Event held at Highclere Castle on Sunday 25th & Monday 26th May 2014.
In second place were the team from AUSTRIA followed by GERMANY in third place.
This year’s Event again consisted of ten varied and challenging working tests expertly organised by Peter Castleman with volunteer stewards and helpers from Kintbury Gundog Club all set in the beautiful grounds of Highclere Castle Estate. A total of fourteen teams took part representing Austria, Belgium, Denmark, England, Finland, France, Germany, Holland, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Scotland, Switzerland and Wales. The tests were judged by five international Judges:
Jamie Bettinson (Wales)
Phil Highfield (England)
Sally Jenkins (England)
Henk Slijkhuis (Holland)
Robin Watson (England)
England’s win this year brings the tally to 6 wins for the England Gundog Team out of the 13 years the Event has been running with John Halstead as Team Captain.
